Nonthaburi, Thailand August 20, 2007. Shin Satellite Public Company Limited ('SATTEL'), Asia's leading commercial satellite operator, announces today that its subsidiary, IPSTAR Australia Pty., Ltd. (IPA) has received The 2007 ACOMMS: Communications Alliance & Commsday Awards, 'Telecommunications Carrier/ Service Provider Awards of Excellence for The Competitive & Growth- SME' on July 19th, 2007 in Sydney. The Hon. Senator Helen Coonan, Minister for Communications, Information Technology and the Arts presided over the Awards Ceremony and addressed the keynote speech for the event. A total of seven companies and one individual were awarded among the 25 finalists. The winners included Alcatel-Lucent, Hutchison Telecoms, Market Clarity, Telstra Corporation, Unwired Australia, Vanco Australasia, and IPSTAR Australia.

The ACOMMS Awards are managed by the cooperation between the Communications Alliance and the Communications Day, the respected Australian industry publication. The Awards are judged primarily on the basis of eligible performance and contribution within Australia telecommunications market , regardless of size, location, or Communications Alliance membership and whether service providers, vendors or suppliers of professional services. It is considered one of the most prestigious telecom awards of Australia.
